Target Wake Time – HE MAC Capabilities Settings

An High Efficiency 802.11ax station will set the following in its HE Capability Information Element field

ParameterDescription
TWT Requester SupportSet to 1 if dot11TWTOptionActivated is true and the STA supports TWT requesting STA functionality

Set to 0 otherwise.
TWT Responder SupportSet to 1 if dot11TWTOptionActivated is true and the STA supports TWT responder STA functionality

Set to 0 otherwise.
An AP sets the TWT Responder Support subfield to 1.

Broadcast TWT SupportSet to 1 if the STA supports broadcast TWT
functionality.
Set to 0 otherwise.

An Access Point will set the

  1. TWT Responder Support subfield in the HE capabilities element shown above and
  2. Set the TWT Responder Support Subfield of the Extended Capabilities element
